“I started this website as a passion project as I love exploring the USA.”
USA Adventure Seeker is in your corner. Here to provide inspiration and helpful guides for overseas travellers and newbies to start planning your long distance hike and bike touring adventure stateside.
Ever since I was young and living in the UK, I have found ways to travel to the USA. Two summers as a Camp Counsellor in North Carolina. Holidays visiting National Parks and exploring iconic cities such as New York. One year as a marketing intern in South Carolina.
And then I discovered bike touring and thru-hiking and I haven’t looked back.
I started with a small section of the Appalachian Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains. Completed the John Muir Trail in California. Hiked 1,330 miles to the official halfway point of the Pacific Crest Trail (where I received my trail name Firecracker) in 2019, returning back in 2022 to complete the trail. Most recently, I hiked the Arizona Trail (2023).
As well as hiking, I love bike touring across multiple US states using route maps from the Adventure Cycling Association (ACA):
Great Parks Bicycle Route, Colorado (635 miles) - Idaho Springs to Cortez
TransAmerica Bicycle Trail (1,000 miles) - Missoula, Montana to Astoria, Oregon
